Beyond one style of fizz
Champagne is the most famous sparkling region, but it is only part of the story. Pet nat can feel playful and lightly cloudy, traditional-method wines bring structure and lees detail, and simpler sparkling bottles can be bright, dry and easy to pour.
Choosing sparkling wine
For aperitifs, look for clean acidity and a dry finish. For food, richer Champagne and traditional-method wines can work with fried food, roast chicken, cheese and seafood. Pet nat is often best when you want something relaxed and refreshing.
