Some rose is crisp and delicate; some is deeper, structured and almost red-wine like. Grape variety, region and winemaking matter more than shade. A good rose should feel balanced, refreshing and useful with food.
Dry rose works with grilled vegetables, fish, salads, charcuterie, tomatoes, lighter meat and Mediterranean dishes. Deeper styles can handle spice, richer sauces and barbecue food better than many whites.
