Farming
Biodynamic farming builds on organic principles but adds its own preparations, vineyard rhythms and certification routes, such as Demeter or Biodyvin where producers choose to certify. Some growers practise biodynamics without formal certification, so Cave tries to describe farming carefully rather than overstate it.
Biodynamic wine does not have one flavour. The wines can be classic, clean, wild, structured, sparkling, red, white or orange. What often matters is the producer's attention to vineyard health and the way that farming supports a clearer expression of place.
Most biodynamic vineyards are also farmed organically, but not every organic wine is biodynamic. This page is useful when you specifically want biodynamic producers; the Organic collection remains the broader farming-led browse path.
