Jura wines have a character all of their own: mountain freshness, limestone soils, native grapes and cellar traditions that range from bright, lightly chilled reds to oxidative Savagnin and Vin Jaune. Cave's Jura selection is producer-led, covering Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau, Poulsard and sparkling styles.

£53.50Jura sits between Burgundy and the Alps, but its wines do not feel like either place copied. The region is shaped by limestone and marl soils, cool slopes and a deep cellar tradition. Some wines are topped up and fresh; others are deliberately aged under voile, giving the nutty, savoury, oxidative style that makes Jura so recognisable.
Chardonnay and Savagnin are the key white grapes, while Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir make reds that can be pale, fragrant and food-friendly. Cremant du Jura adds sparkling freshness, and Vin Jaune sits at the region's most intense, age-worthy end.
For a bright entry point, look at Chardonnay, Cremant or lighter reds. For more grip and savoury detail, try Savagnin, Trousseau or oxidative whites. Jura is particularly good with Comte, mushrooms, roast chicken, charcuterie and dishes that want freshness with a little earthy complexity.
