Why Cave selected it

Old-vine Chardonnay from three Côte des Blancs villages, shaped by organic farming and restrained cellar work. A bright, characterful introduction to the Mignon brothers and their grower Champagnes.

About the wine

L’Aventure is a Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagne made from Chardonnay grown in Avize, Cramant and Cuis in the Côte des Blancs. Old vines and reserve wines give depth to its bright, energetic style.

Ripe citrus, orchard fruit and a chalky freshness lead into a lively, dry finish. Serve chilled at 8–10°C with oysters, scallops or delicate fish dishes.

About the producer

Brothers Florent and Julien Mignon established their estate in Cramant after taking over the family vineyards in 2014, making their first wines in 2016. They farm organically and plant trees and hedges around the vines. In the cellar, native yeasts and ageing on fine lees in tank and oak help express the character of their old-vine sites.

How it is made

100% Chardonnay, with reserve wines in the blend. Native-yeast fermentation and maturation on fine lees in stainless steel and oak, followed by traditional-method bottle fermentation. Bottled without fining or filtration.

Vineyard & terroir

Old-vine Chardonnay from Avize and Cramant Grand Cru and Cuis Premier Cru in the Côte des Blancs. Clay-limestone soils over chalk underpin the wine’s freshness and mineral character.

About Les Frères Mignon

Florent and Julien Mignon are brothers making grower Champagne in Cramant. Their family vineyards include old Chardonnay in Avize, Cramant and Cuis, alongside Pinot Noir in the Vallée de la Marne. They began making their own wines in 2016, moving from grape growing into estate bottling. Organic farming, trees and hedges around the vineyards, native yeasts and patient lees ageing define their approach. L’Aventure brings together three Côte des Blancs villages in a fresh Blanc de Blancs.
