Why Cave selected it

A collaborative Bairrada project with Dirk Niepoort, showcasing old‑vine Baga handled traditionally (foot‑trodden, foudre‑aged) for a vibrant, elegant red with real regional character.

About the wine

Foot-trodden and fermented in lagares and aged 3 years in foudres. Similar to a juicy Pinot Noir, this wine is simply stunning!

About Triangle Wines

Dirk van de Niepoort believes that Quinta de Baixo in Bairrada DO contains some of Portugal’s best terroirs. As a result, he collaborated with Triangle Wines (Ben and Alvaro from Indigo) to use the area’s signature grape, Baga, and produce a bright and floral wine with plenty of energy.
