Notes on the producer
Mas de Daumas Gassac, often called the Grand Cru of the South of France, is an iconic estate located in the Gassac Valley. Benefiting from a unique microclimate and rare glacial soils similar to those in Burgundy, the estate cultivates 40 different grape varieties, including rare and uncloned vines from around the world. The Guibert family, who acquired the vineyards in 1974, pioneered organic farming in Languedoc. Their red wine, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, and their white, a blend of Chardonnay, Petit Manseng, and others, are renowned for their ability to age for decades. The estate also produces the Moulin de Gassac wines, which capture the essence of the surrounding Mediterranean terroir.
