Why Cave selected it

Single‑village Grand Cru Chardonnay with certified organic farming and low dosage that showcases Oiry’s chalky precision and depth; a benchmark grower Champagne for Côte des Blancs terroir.

About the wine

A Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from 45 year old Chardonnay vines in the chalky soils of Oiry. Aged in stainless steel and neutral oak, it delivers vibrant stone fruit, stewed Sicilian lemon, and minerality, with a long finish. Extra Brut, crisp, and refined – a benchmark for Côte des Blancs Chardonnay.

About Suenen

Former basketball coach turned winemaker, Aurélien Suenen crafts terroir-driven Champagne from Grand Cru vineyards in Chouilly, Oiry, and Cramant, plus a rare ungrafted Meunier plot. Inspired by Pascal Agrapart and Anselme Selosse, he champions low-intervention winemaking, using wild yeasts, oak, cement eggs, and foudres. With minimal sulphur and extra-brut dosage, his mineral, precise, and textural Champagnes are among the most exciting in the region.
