What's in the box? 

La Conreria dScala Dei, Black Slate Escladei, 2021 - Black Cherry, Liquorice, Slate

Catalunya / Red / Grenache, Carignan / Organic

Grapes are hand harvested and must is fermented using indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks, followed by a 20 day maceration. Wine then ages for 20 months in French and American oak barrels. A rich a smooth wine that just gets better the longer its open!


Bodegas Las Orcas, Solar de Randez, 'Rioja Reserva', 2016 Plummy, Spicy, Dried Fig

Rioja Alta DOC / Red / Tempranillo / Sustainable

Grapes are sourced from the Carraelciego vineyard located at the foothills of the Sierra Cantabria Mountains, to the south of the river Ebro. Grapes macerate for five days. Fermentation is carried out in tapered stainless steel vats of 20,000 litres with three daily pump-overs. The maceration continues for the next 14 days. Once the malolactic fermentation is complete the wine is racked into French oak barrels for the next 24 months. Finally the wine is bottled and matured for a minimum of 16 months before being released.

Very Graves. A little brother of Dom de Chevalier. With all the classic hallmarks of a right bank Bordeaux. Perfect for Christmas!

 

J.L Chave Selection, Offerus Saint Joseph, 2021 - Black Cherry, Blackberry, Spice

France / Red / Syrah / Organic

 

The vineyards used for Offerus are located in two distinct St. Joseph areas. The communities of Mauves, Tournon, and St. Jean de Muzols yields most of the blend.  80% of this southern fruit comes from one of their own vineyards called Les Clos Florentin, which Jean Louis bought in 2009. These are old vines that were only worked by hand or by horse and grown biodynamically on granite. Fermented in large, wood, open top fermenters and then finished in old oak demi-muids. Stunning value wine that give you a taste of what the big Boy Chave wines can bring to the party.

 

Fatalone, Primitivo Riserva, 2020 - Black Cherry, Cacao, Velvety

Puglia / Red / Primitivo / Organic

This is classic Puglian Primitivo, silky, velvety with dark chocolate, and dark fruits. Another warming winter wine. 

 

Keermont Estate, Syrah, 2017 - Spicy, Dried Fruit, Lavender

Swartland / Red / Syrah/ Organic

The plots are harvested and vinified separately. In the winery the grapes are destemmed and fermented. Finally, it ages for 20 months in French oak barrels before being bottled by hand and unfiltered. Elegant and vibrant Syrah that will give Northern Rhone a good run for its money.
