This is the cataratto on skins, macerated for 3 days and bottled without fining, filtration or sulphur. Intriguing aromas of spicy apple, quince and plum with a touch of tannin. A great way into this style of wine.

Notes on the producer

The Ciello Winery was founded in Marsala in 1860 by Don Diego Rallo, although today the estate is run by the Vesco family who took over in 1996. There are 100 organic hectares in total, all of which are in the DOCG of Alcamo, while the cellars are situated in an impressive 19th century building on Marsala's seafront. The company produces perhaps the best-known DOC wines of the region from local indigenous grapes including Nero d'Avola and Catarratto
