There's so much fruit capering on the palate with good old fashioned tuck shop sweets - think rhubarb and custard sweets, with some green melon,  pithy grapefruit and a long, sherbety finish. Great with everything from scallops with cucumber and lime to a chicken curry. Great value Verdejo and a great alternative for all you Sauvignon Blanc lovers out there.

Based in Don Quixote’s Castilla La Mancha, Familia Bastida produce an incredible-value range of wines from estate fruit. All wine are made with dryfarmed, organically grown grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeast. We’re hugely incredibly impressed by what they manage to achieve in the vineyard and cellar. They are modernising but employing all of the techniques and equipment of the artisan movement. Bravo!
