Giodo
Tuscany Italy
Podere Giodo is a family-driven winery rooted in tradition and innovation. Founded by Carlo Ferrini, one of Italy's renowned winemakers, the estate reflects his deep passion and decades of expertise. In 2022, he acquired a small plot in the heart of Montalcino, later expanding it to six hectares nestled among the rolling Tuscan hills. The vineyards, planted with eight carefully selected Sangiovese clones, are meticulously managed with a focus on soil, elevation, and orientation to achieve the highest quality. The estate’s commitment to harmony with nature is evident in its vineyard practices and its partially subterranean wine cellar, designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape. Carlo’s daughter, Bianca Ferrini, along with her partner Riccardo Ferrari, now leads the estate with a forward-thinking approach. Together, they craft two wines: Brunello di Montalcino, their flagship wine aged entirely in oak for over two years, and La Quinta, an IGT wine matured in both oak and cocciopesto amphorae. Podere Giodo is a true testament to Italy’s winemaking heritage, combining tradition, family values, and modern sensibilities.
