About Mouzon Leroux
The Mouzon family’s history in Verzy dates to 1776. Today, Pascale, Philippe and Sébastien Mouzon continue that family tradition in this Grand Cru village of the Montagne de Reims. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are central to the wines, alongside plantings of Champagne’s other historic varieties.
Biodynamic farming has guided the estate since 2008, with Demeter certification. Biodiversity, living soils and a close relationship with individual parcels shape the vineyard work. In the cellar, native yeasts, lees ageing and an approach without fining or filtration aim to preserve the character of the fruit and place.
In the vineyard
Biodynamic cultivation since 2008, certified by Demeter. Chalk, calcareous clay and flint underpin the vineyards around Verzy. Agroforestry, biodiversity and winter grazing support living soils and a balanced vineyard ecosystem.
In the cellar
Native-yeast fermentation and lees ageing, without fining or filtration. Oak is used for L’Ascendant, whose perpetual reserve blends multiple harvests for depth and complexity. Individual cuvées and release details vary.
Cave on Mouzon Leroux
