About Domaine Thévenard
The Thévenard family has deep roots in Uchizy. In 2021, Pascal and his sons Gaétan and Matthieu took 12 hectares out of the local cooperative to establish their own domaine. The brothers represent the fifth generation of winegrowers.
Their wines focus on Chardonnay from the villages of the Mâconnais, alongside Pinot Noir and Crémant de Bourgogne. A modern cellar supports gentle handling, natural fermentations and maturation mainly in larger barrels with limited new oak.
In the vineyard
Sustainable, reasoned viticulture with soil cultivation instead of herbicides. The domaine is not presented as certified organic or biodynamic; the grower has described targeted conventional treatments during flowering.
In the cellar
Natural fermentations, gravity handling and limited new oak seek to preserve freshness and vineyard character. Barrel maturation brings texture; the Crémant undergoes a second fermentation in bottle followed by lees ageing.
Cave on Domaine Thévenard
Fresh, precise Mâconnais wines from a family returning to estate bottling. The Crémant brings Chardonnay clarity, fine bubbles and a dry finish to an easy aperitif or the dinner table.
