Black cherry and wild strawberry are lifted by peony, violet and a flicker of peppery spice. The palate is juicy and medium-bodied, with supple, powdery tannins, bright acidity and a clean mineral finish that reflects Brouilly’s pink-granite soils.
Château Thivin is one of Beaujolais’ benchmark family estates, based on the slopes of Mont Brouilly. Its wines combine traditional whole-bunch vinification with precise vineyard work, producing Gamay that is immediately charming but firmly rooted in its individual crus and soils.
