Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey's Bourgogne Blanc is a benchmark for the category, sourced from parcels in the Côte de Beaune, primarily around Saint-Aubin. Aged in used oak barrels, it showcases ripe stone fruit, citrus zest, and a subtle mineral backbone. The wine is textured yet vibrant, with excellent tension and finesse—hallmarks of this meticulous producer.
Notes on the producer
Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, the eldest son of Marc Colin, founded his domaine in 2005 after working for his family’s estate. Based in Chassagne-Montrachet, he focuses exclusively on white wines and has quickly gained a cult following for his uncompromising standards and precision winemaking. Pierre-Yves farms sustainably and vinifies with minimal intervention, avoiding batonnage and using minimal new oak. His whites are renowned for their clarity, structure, and age-worthiness. Even at the Bourgogne level, the wines display a level of depth and complexity that sets them apart, consistently overdelivering on quality.
