Ripe pear and quince are sharpened by citrus peel, wild herbs and a warm-stone salinity. The palate is full and richly textured, yet the naturally high acidity of the Manseng grapes keeps it energetic, dry and long rather than heavy.
Domaine Lajibe is the Jurançon project of Jean-Baptiste Semmartin in Lucq-de-Béarn. After experience in Burgundy, he began making wine here in 2015, focusing on organically farmed local varieties and precise, low-intervention dry whites with remarkable tension.
