This wine is made of 95% Grolleau Gris and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is a sweeter rosé with loads of fruit and aromatics due to carbonic maceration. Beautiful and layered rose perfect for a bit of spice.
Notes on the producer
La Ferme de la Sansonnière, situated in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley, is celebrated for its commitment to biodynamic farming and natural winemaking. Under the guidance of Mark Angeli, a key figure in the natural wine movement, the winery produces outstanding Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc wines as well as a higly sought after rose. Angeli's philosophy centres on minimal intervention in the cellar and sustainable viticulture, allowing the wines to authentically express their terroir. Known for their vibrant acidity, mineral undertones, and complexity, these wines have garnered critical acclaim and inspired many winemakers to adopt biodynamic and environmentally friendly practices.
The estate has been farming biodynamically since it began in 1990, and uses minimal sulfites naturally mined from an active volcano.
