Entraygues and Le Fel / White / Chenin Blanc / Organic
Domaine De Buis
Entraygues et Le Fel AOC
2021 was a very difficult vintage and Pauline lost 80% of her white grapes. The grapes that were left were made into this charming cuvée. Round, ripe, and aromatic with fresh white fruit and baking spice. A skillfully made wine that highlights Pauline's resilience.
Notes on the producer
Pauline Broqua may be relatively new to winemaking, but the complexity and depth of this wine betrays no lack of confidence. Pauline made the switch from sommelier to vigneron in 2018 and expanded her Domaine des Buis to 7 hectares in 2019. Deeply committed to natural techniques, she uses no chemical additives and cultivates several different varieties. Alongside rows of cabernet franc, negret de banhars, and chenin grows a grape particular to a certain part of inland southwest France: known as braucol in Gaillac, it goes by the name fer servadou in the area around the town of Marcillac-Vallon, in the department of Aveyron. A rustic red from the true French countryside.
