Notes on the producer

The Hélicon estate was created in 2018, not far from Martigné-Briand, when Constantin Vellis decided to make his lifelong passion, viticulture, a reality. The winemaker cultivates almost two hectares of Chenin vines. Aware of current environmental issues and with a view to protecting biodiversity, he decided to apply the strict principles of organic farming to his vines and cellar. He is convinced that respect for the soil is essential to the proper development of a quality raw material and to the production of exceptional cuvées. Each plot is cultivated according to its needs in order to preserve the personality of each one. Unsurprisingly, the vinifications are also minimally interventionist and the sulfur is added in minimal quantities in order to allow the fruits the freedom to express all their aromas.
