This box contains 6 fantastic sparkling wines for every holiday celebration, from Christmas day, new years eve or even just a bank holiday! A selection of wines including highly rated English producers to classic crémant. 

What's in the box?

Langham, Culver, NV - Stone Fruit, Chamomile, Mineral

Dorset / Sparkling White / Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier / Sustainable

All fruit for this wine was sourced from their single site in rural Dorset. The grapes for the base vintage were picked in October 2020 and gently pressed in whole bunches.  Primary fermentation, with indigenous yeasts, took place in a combination of stainless-steel tanks and used oak barrels, followed by complete malolactic fermentation.  Following 7 months of élevage, the final blend was bottled and left to age on lees for a minimum of 14 months. Rich yet fresh this is top stuff

 

Catherine & Pierre Breton, Vouvray Brut Dilettante, NV - Mineral, Green Apple, Salty

Champagne method made sparkling Chenin Blanc from the Loire. Creamy and Brioche notes with peach and green apple this is cracking fizz.

 

Frank Peillot, Bugey Methode Traditionelle, NV - Red Berry, White Peach, Saline

Bugey / White Sparkling / Mondeuse, Altesse, Chardonnay / Sustainable

The winemaking is sustainable with  fungicide used against oidium and mildew ONLY in difficult vintages.  Though not vintage-dated, it is always single-vintage and this is all from 2018. Wine is aged for 12 months sur lattes and is bottled with just a light filtration. Just great value delicious fizz from an interesting region.

 

Etienne Fort, Monsieur S, 2018 - Citrus, Blossom, Saline

Étienne’s chardonnay based Crémant is a slightly more complex sparkling wine, sourced once again from low-yielding vines at high altitude (450m) which helps to preserve freshness and cut. Wild yeast fermentation in old demi-muids is followed by 6 months ageing in the same demi-muids, the wine is then being bottled off for the secondary fermentation and 12 months ageing on the lees. Disgorged with zero dosage. One of our stock favourite Cremant's that is always a pleausre to drink.

 

Paltrinieri, Solco, 2020 - Rich, Dark Fruit, Lush

Emilia Romagna / Red Sparkling / Lambrusco / Organic

Genuine Lambrusco is a sheer delight and should be taken very seriously! This little gem has bags of ripe, soft, dark fruit and a lush mouthfeel impart created by the 15 grams or so residual sugar making it off dry. It does also have a lovely savoury dryness to the finish which makes it great with food and of course the light frothiness makes it very moreish! Lambrusco has had something of a bad rep for a while but this is proof that it can be taken seriously.

 

Pequenos Rebentos, Ancestral, 2021 - White Flowers, Melon, Citrus

Vinho Verde / White Sparkling / Loureiero / Sustainable

The grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks using natural yeasts. Before fermentation is complete the wine is bottled under crown cap to finish fermentation in bottle in the ancestral style. The wine isn’t filtered, and there are no sulphur additions. This is fun, funky fizz, pure unadulterated joy. Can appear hazy in the glass.
