From 20-25 year old vines on igneous rich soil. Fermented with wild yeast the grapes go through 100% whole bunch carbonic maceration before 15 month ageing in concrete. Did you know, Gamaret is a grape of Swiss origin, made from a cross between Gamay and Reichensteiner (Changins, 1970). It is particularly resistant to grey rot, which allows it to be harvested at maturity without fear of deterioration. No sulphur added. Dark fruit, juicy and earthy. Nice juice
Notes on the producer
Cyril Alonzo and Florian Looze are wandering winemakers, their work consists of vinifying, directing and selecting among the best producers of natural or organic wine, in historically attractive parcels located between the Rhône and the Saône. All of their wines have real personality and are parcelled and vinified in a free way, always with the idea of adapting the place and the vintage. This gives the wines a real personality and the terroir always shines through.
